Syndr Protocol Mascot Design Competition

We are inviting our community members to enter a competition to design a mascot for Syndr. This mascot will be used to complement our brand & customize the look and feel of our community.

What is a brand mascot?

A mascot serves as a representative of a brand, protocol, exchange. It can be used as a part of the protocol’s logo or separately in various digital and print marketing materials. For example, check out Deva the Devcon Unicorn, Bufficorn of ETHDenver, or even the Shiba Inu dog.

How are we going to use Syndr mascot?

To create a custom sticker & GIF set for Discord,
In design templates, memes, and any content about Syndr,
In merchandises like sweatshirts, mugs, etc.

We call our community members as OctoApes. What is an OctoApe and how did we come up with it?

Octo (Short for Octopus): This creature’s brain not only makes it the world’s most intelligent invertebrate but, according to some measures, as smart as a golden retriever. Surprised?

Ape: ‘Apeing’ is one of the most known phrases in crypto & web3 lingo. Apeing into a DeFi/NFT project means investing in it without doing any sort of due diligence or research and is often purely fueled by FOMO. Web3 degens started to use it after BAYC (NFT Collection) phenomenon and this is how the rise of Apes started.
So that was how OctoApe was born as the spirit animal of Syndr Protocol. Ape but a clever one like an Octopus.

We want you to design what an OctoApe looks like. This is your chance to let your creativity shine, create a distinctive part of our community identity, and win some reward.

To enter the Syndr Mascot Design Competition, follow these 3 simple steps:

1. Tell a little about your design process.
2. Drafts you draw during your design are welcome to show your journey.
3.Upload your final design in common file formats such as .jpg, .png, .tiff or .mp4 in #design section of our Discord channel.

The final design of the mascot should be shown with at least 4 different positions; such as talking, running, standing etc.

Our Team will personally select the best 3 designs carefully.

Only from the winner: We’ll request all the image files we need to be able to use Syndr Mascot. This includes the original, editable file (.ai, .psd, etc.), as well as a preview version we can open on virtually any device.

Prize: $1000 for 1st —$500 for 2nd — $300 for 3rd

Deadline: February 21-March 7 2022

The competition is open for 2 weeks and we’d like to give feedback on the pre-final design at the end of the 1st week, if possible.

Keep in mind that we want cartoonish, funny, happy designs like Disney characters.
